Sleep is so important for our health, that we spend one third of our entire lives doing it. We know poor sleep quality and irregular sleeping patterns are terrible for ageing. Melatonin is essential for sleep.
Your body produces melatonin when it thinks it is time to go to bed, which is mostly based on exposure to light. As we all have artificial light well into the evening, our melatonin production is affected, which in turn affects our sleep quality.
Ageing also affects melatonin production, meaning sleep quality is reduced the older you are.
Supplementing with melatonin assists with sleep issues, but the dosage is very, very important. If you have too much melatonin, this can have the adverse effect of messing with your sleep cycle. We recommend starting with one capsule in the evening, and increasing from there if you need to.
It is important to note, unlike our other products, this is not recommended for everyone. You should only use this product if you have trouble with sleeping.
